My family purchased Bi-Rite Drug Store in 1967 and my father was the pharmacist.  In fact, our family kind of grew up in the store.  My sisters worked the counter with my parents, while I was relegated to more of the maintenance and janitorial duties.  This is where we learned our work ethic and our strong hometown customer service. 

In  1983, my parents, Don and Sharon Rench, decided to start a home medical and respiratory company to serve the Sandpoint area.    That company was closed and on July 1st 1989, Sandcreek Medical was formed.  

The Bi-Rite was closed after the death of my father, but the family business’ still lives on.  Sandcreek Medical is located in the basement of the building and Sharon’s Hallmark is on the main floor.  Sharon’s Hallmark was started by parents, and run by my mother, Sharon, until recently when my sister  Deanna Harris took over.
